Pagani Huayra Review
Pagani prides itself on paying meticulous attention to every component, from gear selector to titanium bolts; everything about their car can be considered an individual work of art.
Pagani chose an advanced seven-speed sequential transmission from Xtrac to save weight; no dual clutch gearbox was implemented here.
Powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine
Huayra’s Huayra V12 engine was custom-designed by Pagani engineers for optimal performance, using Carbotanium HP62 construction materials and with an integrated exhaust system to maximize airflow into the engine and produce 838 horsepower and 567 pounds-feet of torque – giving this beast its name!
Pagani engineers combined numerous advanced technologies into this powerplant, such as variable geometry turbocharging and an intercooler that help manage lag, with the goal of achieving maximum performance without compromising reliability or efficiency – creating a car with both power and weight reduction properties.
The Huayra stands out with its bold exterior styling; it resembles an LMP1 prototype car married with McLaren P1 technology and can make quite an impressionful presence at races or on high-speed autobahns.
Wings, nose, and tail components of this car are designed to generate downforce without compromising ride comfort. The front wing can even be adjusted for optimal aerodynamics; moreover, its height can be changed so as to increase downforce while decreasing drag coefficients.
Huayra interiors may not be as luxurious and complex as their exterior, yet still feature plenty of technology and materials that have been carefully chosen by hand. For example, its center stack features an LCD touch-screen display while secondary controls feature machined aluminum and brushed titanium materials for secondary controls.
The Pagani Huayra is an exclusive supercar that can only be obtained by select customers. Due to its limited production run, this unique and beautiful vehicle will remain highly in demand. If you want an exquisite way to show off your wealth, look no further – its sleek design, exotic powertrain and sound make this car truly standout from its peers!
Powered by a six-speed sequential gearbox
Rarely will you hear of a car offering manual transmission, but the Pagani Utopia stands out. Christopher Pagani reveals that more than 60% of Huayra customers opted for manual shift on this track-focused version of their hypercar. As this was only ever before being offered with manual gearbox, many clients eagerly ordered theirs before seeing it at Goodwood.
The Utopia is powered by a Mercedes-AMG Affalterbach developed 6.0-liter twin turbocharged V12 engine producing 864 horsepower – enough to take it to 218 miles per hour top speed and its redline of 9,000rpm.
Pagani Utopia features not only its custom V12 engine but also a number of improvements designed to increase performance. These include a new intake manifold, redesigned exhaust system, and reprogrammed ECU. In addition, Pagani has prioritized lightness as part of their lightweighting strategy in an effort to minimize weight reduction as much as possible.
Pagani Utopia comes equipped with a custom six-speed sequential gearbox produced in collaboration with HWA AG. Weighing just 80 kg (176 lbs), this lightweight transmission delivers power through Pirelli P Zero Slick tires measuring 280/680 R19 at the front and 345/725 R20 in back for optimal handling at top speed of 218 miles per hour – while its double wishbone suspension with helical springs allows it to reach top speeds of 218 MPH! Each Huayra buyer will also participate in Arte in Pista program offering exciting track days at world-famous circuits!
Powered by active aerodynamics
Pagani Huayra is a track Hypercar with superior aerodynamics. Featuring an innovative chassis and powerful engine, this strategic collaboration between Pagani and HWA AG has resulted in this car becoming one of the top performers on any racetrack. The V12-R Evo engine produces 900 horsepower (662 kW), has a redline of 8,750rpm and allows it to reach over 217mph (344km/h).
The Huayra takes its name from Andean god of wind Huayra-tata and its design reflects this reverence for wind power. With its long tail design and aerodynamic capabilities that enable it to fly like a whirlwind through the air, as well as changing shape for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, this vehicle stands out among others as one of a kind. Additionally, its carbon fiber monocoque provides extreme strength.
Active aerodynamics of this vehicle are managed through a system which adjusts the height of its front end, producing different levels of downforce. Flaps are activated based on several parameters, including speed, yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering angle and throttle position to reach an impressive maximum drag coefficient of 0.53 with this system.
Huayra’s rear spoiler is also an interesting feature; its retractable nature allows it to be raised or lowered via push-button control located on its dashboard, or shifted between two positions for different settings depending on conditions.
Under normal driving mode, the Huayra is easy to drive. Its suspension is stiff yet comfortable while its engine roars wonderfully when opening the throttle. Plus, its exterior looks incredible – with an elegant body exuding beauty and power! Perfect for anyone wanting to experience hypercar thrills for real – be it on roads, racetracks, or desert terrains!
